3D/2D's core activity is organising events that provide makers, designers, craftworkers and artists with venues where they can exhibit their work and sell directly to the public. The origins of the organisation go all the way back to 1981. The first fairs were held in Edinburgh in the Assembly Rooms. Fairs in Glasgow began in early 1983, with other towns and venues added later that year. Since then 3D/2D has established a strong, reliable reputation for quality and diversity with both the public and potential exhibitors.
Currently all the events that 3D/2D organises, or participates in, are based in Scotland. 3D/2D's exhibitors are drawn from all over Britain, with the majority living and working in Scotland.

How To Become An Exhibitor
Makers, designers and artists wishing to sell their work at 3D/2D events must first submit their work for approval. Our selection panel meets regularly and you can expect a decision within a couple of weeks, although at certain times of year the process can be delayed. A favourable decision means that your name is added to the 3D/2D mailing list. An information pack containing details about all the Fairs in the current year will be sent to you. You then decide which fairs you wish to apply for and fill in the relevant application forms.
