Lochaber, in Scotland's West Highlands, is renowned for its scenic beauty.
Lochaber offers much too in the variety and quality of its craft and food products. A tour of the area combines the enjoyment of its grandeur with opportunities to watch producers at work and to examine some of the processes involved.
Lochaber Craft and Food Producers Association helps to bring those businesses and their customers together.
Joining the LCFPA
The Lochaber Craft and Producers Association was formed in 1993 to bring together the various individual craft and food producers operating in Lochaber - it is run by members for the members on a voluntary basis. It was decided at one of the early committee meetings to print a craft trail guide and this has been printed every year since.
Other activities over the years have included a cookery show at the Nevis Centre in Fort William, taking a group stand at the Royal Highland Show, running craft fairs and fashion shows, "have-a-go" craft days and a "Meet the Buyer" event. More recently we held our second photographic workshop for members to learn to photograph their own work.
