About us

Jennifer EwenMy name is Jennifer Ewen and I now live in Edinburgh. I have been interested in all aspects of crafts from an early age and have been participating in craft events for the last 30 years. When my children were small I started making soft toys and children’s lampshades, in the guise of hot air balloons.

I became interested in patchwork after accompanying a friend to the Victoria & Albert Museum to view their vast archive of quilts, which are kept in vast drawers at a controlled temperature in the attic rooms of the museum. I retired two years ago and now have the time to hunt up fabrics and try new designs.

I always have a stock of cushions and cot quilts for sale but larger items take more time and are made to order. It takes me about 2 years to make a double quilt by hand using hexagon shapes.

If you would like patchwork cushions made from your own fabric, perhaps to match curtains, please contact me for a quotation
